Christmas Day

I hope everyone had a very Merry Christmas!  We had a wonderful day here at the Peterman house.

I got up about 8:00am and I woke the girls up at 8:45.  We headed into the living room and gathered around the tree.  We handed out the gifts and then both girls called their families on Skype so that we could share our present opening with them!  (Don’t you just love modern technology?!?)  Since Nanna got a hold of her parents first, she got to open first.  We also opened our presents from her parents while they were watching on Skype.

A shirt from Yasmina.

Soon Yasmina’s parents were also online and she dug into her pile of gifts.

A scarf from Nanna.

The girls got Letter Jacksets for their parents and they are beautiful.  I know that they will treasure them for years!  I still have mind from high school.

Go Warriors!

Love the letter jackest!

They both made out like bandits!
T-Shirts from Disney from Grandmother.

Oklahoma State University - Cowboys hoodies - from Grandma & Grandpa.

Eskimo Joe's t-shirts!  From Grandma & Grandpa.

Dodger the dog likes to be in the pictures!

Yasmina's family Skyping in on the computer!

Sisters!

Here they are will all of their goodies!
Yasmina with all of her gifts.

Nanna with all of her gifts.

After they finished and had said goodbye to their folks, the rest of us opened out gifts.  All I say is that everyone here must have been on Santa’s nice list because we all got just what we wanted!

I would like to say a big thank you to both Austria and Denmark for all of the wonderful gifts!  We love them!

I hope everyone has a happy and blessed new year!

Guest Blogger…Aunt Janet

Merry Christmas from South Carolina!  Tonight we had the absolute pleasure of adding a little Denmark tradition to our Christmas Eve festivities. Nanna told us about how at home she and her family dance around the tree and we decided to give it a try! May I say – what a WONDERFUL tradition! We had a blast “Rockin’ Around The Christmas Tree.”

It took a little prodding to get the guys in the groove…but in no time at all they were in the spirit of the season and fun was had by all.

We have our own little tradition – every Christmas Eve the kids get to unwrap one present in anticipation for Christmas morning.  JoBeth gave Yasmina and Nanna a gift to unwrap

--- Christmas pajamas from Victoria’s Secret!

Don’t they look cute!

May I say on a personal note – Nanna and Yasmina are both wonderful young women and I am so glad I have had a chance to get to know them. Tomorrow morning will be the big unwrapping – but for tonight we will relish our little bit of Denmark here in South Carolina.

PS... On our way to church on Christmas Eve.
